water intoxication

So my ob said I need to be drinking a gallon a day of water. I've been drinking water like none stop. Can't I get water intoxication doing that? Drinking to much water???

I thought it was 64 fl oz. I try to get it through milk and juice cause a lot of water makes me pee more often but i still drink at least two 16 fl oz water bottles a day no matter what.

My doct told me 3 liters a day..i just have a hard time drinking that much liquid period im a slow drinker

I was told take half your weight and that's how many ounces you should have daily. You'd have to drink the gal in a very short amount of time (like 4-5 minutes) for water intoxication.
