I was a daily weed smoker, when I got pregnant I had horrible morning sickness and weed was the only thing that helped me eat and sleep I was prescribed Zofran which has a lawsuit against them and is not FDA approved.. I stopped around 5 months and I'm now 7 months, unfortunately my doctor drug tests but I explained myself and he understood and believed that I quit. There are no known birth defects let alone any horrible affects that come from weed it's a natural grown plant. But I do recommend to stop at least 3-4 months prior to giving birth, your baby could experience a low birth weight or early labor. But even more important they do drug tests on new borns, a diaper that senses drugs not saying they'll take your baby but it's still a huge scare. A friend of mine smoked wax daily which made her thc level extremely high. She stopped around 5 months but still came up positive at the hospital. I recommend to only smoke out of a pipe or bongs. No blunt wraps nor joint papers. And maybe cut down. It was pretty difficult for me at first since I smoked at least a gram a day. But I haven't had the urge and now I'm always hungry and sleepy just from pregnancy lol!

I have smoked since 13 I'm now 22 but with my first pregnancy I smoked every now and thenn its the only thing that helped my back pain and my nausea.  But with my second I no longer smoke . But in don't judge anyone who des but you can get your child taken from you if they test them but they usually only do so if you look like a junkie or have had cps involved before

I, too, was a heavy smoker before. I quit almost immediately but watch out because most states test babies at birth and it stays in their systems for 6 monyhs  so if you are still smoking after your first trimester your baby can test positive.

I was a heavy user before I got pregnant. And after all the studies I've read, I still do it occasionally. The only accurate study was the one about women in Jamaica. Every other study included women who smoked cigarettes and drank alcohol as well as smoked weed. My friend did dabs every night when she was pregnant with each of her 3 kids. They have no health issues.

It's kind of like the same rule as wine when you're pregnant. It's okay occasionally but don't over do it.
