Thank you both! Very helpful (:
strongmoms. com has a great hospital bag check list. If you choose to look it up, just type in "hospital bag" in the search engine on the strongmoms webpage and click the first link that pops up. That's where I got all my ideas for my bag supplies. It even has a checklist for the baby and if the babys dad is coming and staying with you. You can choose to print off the things you want or have the list you created emailed to you. The website will have you check off things you want to take or might want to take and put it in list form for you. It was very helpful for me :)
I agree with the above poster with the snacks. After I gave birth I was sooo hungry it got pretty ridiculous lol I wish I would have taken and extra blanket I was cold and thankfully my hubby brought me a pillow from home because the hospital pillows are really flat for my preference. Lip balm/lip gloss and a tinted moisturizer, I had lost so much blood I looked really pale and ghastly lol I was shocked. Outfits for the baby and comfy cute clothes for you. Socks/slippers snacks snacks and more snacks. I'd bring my own shampoo and conditioner just in case the ones they provide leave your hair icky.
Make sure you take lip balm, nipple cream and pads. Take snacks for you and hubby. I also took a 6 pack of gatorade. Another useful thing I took was a magic bag that you can heat up in the microwave...it helped with the pelvic pain when in labour.
Take your own pillow too...hospital ones are not that great! Take slippers or socks that have to non slip bottoms for walking around.
