weight gain

siv
I gained 8 lbs in one month, so I was trying to be very careful and over the next three weeks I had only gained 2 lbs. I weighed myself on Thursday morning and was still the same weight. Then on Saturday I weighed myself and I had gained 3 lbs. I don't know how because all I was eatting were fruits, veggies, meats, and a few sweets. Also I worked a 12hr. shift at the hospital as a nurse. Is there something wrong with this?

I agree with sweetangel. I didn't gain any weight one month then the next I would gain like 10 pounds and then the next 2 and so on and so forth. As long as your doctor isn't concerned I wouldn't be.

Well, a rule of thumb my doctor gave me was that most women can expect to gain up to 5 pounds in the first trimester and then a pound a week on average after that...some weeks it might be 1/2 a pound...some weeks it might be a pound and a half...some weeks none...some weeks 2.  I'd try not to worry about the numbers as long as you are eating healthy.  If your doctor were concerned with your weight, they would let you know.  And another thing about the weight is that it could be fluid, constipation...anything...not just 'fat'.  I only weigh myself once a week because I know I can become obsessive over the scale and right now is not the time to be focused on numbers.  Maybe you should pick a day and just do it once a week at the same time.
