weight problem..please help

So.. I'm 32 weeks and have already gained 40 freaking pounds! Because I live in tx and its so freaking hot its hard for me to find exercise. But it doesn't look like I've gained that much. Not in my face legs arms or anything. & I barly have stretch marks but for some reason it seems like I'm constantly gaining weight. & I don't eat terribly. I don't understand how I could already have gained 40 pounds and not even look like it. I'm scared because my dr was kind of an a s s hole about it last time but I can't help it.. idk whats going on. Quitting smoking has made me stress too so maybe that's a reason but I don't want to be huge after I have the baby. How much weight do you lose after birth & really how hard is it to drop the weight after. Someone please help me understand

Hey girl I'm in Texas too! I'm stuck inside all day and my treadmill has become just another thing that I dust:) I am 28 weeks and was told to gain 20 lbs the whole pregnancy and I've gained 25 already... but I am proud of myself. BECAUSE with my first I gained 70! I would say you lose about 15 lbs the first week, what with baby, placenta, fluid, etc. After that it leaves gradually, faster if you breastfeed and eat healthy. Don't worry about weight! As long as your baby is healthy its all good. The only time weight would matter would be if it was fluid retention...lots of weight gain really fast could mean you are retaining too much water. Otherwise relax, trust me.

Don't give yourself a hard time about the weight. I think the general rule is it takes you 9 months to gain the weight so about 9 months to loose it. W/ my first I gained 20lbs, over the next 2.5 years I lost a few lbs but never got back to pre-pregnancy weight, maybe cause I worked at a restraunt. Exactly a year ago I changed job and I weight the same as what weight when I had my son. Between August&December I lost 10lbs.  In November I became pregnant and only gained 8 lbs. After I had my baby I lost like 20 lbs.

Baby can still be small! My first was only 7.5! And that was after gaining 63 pounds. I wanna say between fluids, placenta, and everything else the total is between 15- 25 pounds right away. I'm not 100% positive though. I think you can look it up though. Sorry I have preggo brain bad! Haha.

Yea I heard that too. Its weird because it seems like I gain 10 pounds a month. Last time I went to the dr I was 10 pounds heavier than the last & its the same this time. & I'm scared because my baby is about to start gaining half a pound a week. I was like 150 pre pregnancy at 5'8" & now I'm 188-190. And I still have 8 weeks to go. How much weight is usually lost when having the baby? Like placenta and all the fluids

I gained 20 pounds so far & im almost 28 weeks and I was told to only gain that much the whole pregnancy. &im like hello, it's summer and hot and I too quit smoking and I noticed my legs and face got a little bigger. Not much, but I have stretch marks :/ I plan to eat healthy and breast feed since I heard it's what gets the weight off faster. Good luck !

Ignore your Dr when it comes to the weight. My Dr never said boo about my weight when I gained that much. As long as baby is healthy that's all that matters!

I'm trying not to stress but my dr is kinda rude about it & before I got pregnant I was already obsessive about my weight

Try not to stress. I know its hard. With my first I gained 63 pounds!!! I wanted to die. But the weight comes off and it becomes a thing of the past. Just try to eat healthy and walk indoors as much as possible. I understand the hot thing, I live in Az!!
