Not so wierd.  My closest girlfriends and I talked about this once upon time.  I think it has something to do with high levels of progesterone during the luteal phase (this is normal), a hormone also present during pregnancy.  The hormone may stimulate the colon or bladder leading to more bathroom visits.  Just before your period starts, progesterone levels fall, frequent bathroom visits stop, and estrogen is the dominant hormone up until ovulation the following cycle.

hi there im not positive but .. this happens me too. its because your uterus is contracting which puts pressure on your bladder and so you pee more often ..
hope that helps oh and its quite common too.
