Are any of you getting it while pregnant? I'm afraid to lol is there anything wrong with having it done while still pregnant or is it better to wait til after baby is born?

I've gotten mine done. A baby where I'm from was actually around someone who hadn't gotten the shot and died today, it was on the news ): its so sad. My doc actually told me its recommended not to let the baby around anyone who hasn't had the shot yet until they get it or baby is old enough to get himself since there's such an outbreak now.

I would call ur local medicad office and ask bc from what iv seen on the gov. Sites alot of states are starting to cover it bc of how much more common its starting to get. Also if there are any free clinics around where u live u can call and see if they can help cover it or know where u may be able to get it free or low cost if ur insurance doesn't cover it. Also try ur wic office. I know mine asked me if i was going to get it so they may be able to point u towards a place to get is free also

They're saying it doesn't work. So I wouldn't want to risk it. I didn't get my flu shot either I'm perfectly fine (thank God) and I was never planning on getting the whoopy cough one either. My mother in law and sister in law were talking about it because she was thinking about getting it she's pregnant too.

Im due Feb 11th and i got mine today. I have Medicade in ny and they covered mine. Its best to get it while ur still pg as it will imunises the baby as well until he/she is old enough to get one of their own.

I had it done when I was 31 weeks I pass it on to bub otherwise there's a chance they could catch it before they get their own jabs
