Sex sent me into labor at 33 weeks! Im not allowed to have it anymore til 37 weeks. It works on some women but not all. It never did anything for my mom but as soon as I was done having it I had contractions every 2-5 mins!

Pitocin, the stuff they give during inductions, is a synthetic hormone designed to mimic oxytocin, the hormone that your body releases when you have an orgasm (or to a lesser extent when you're crushing on someone and get butterflies in your stomach when you talk to them, or when you're turned on). Oxytocin from having sex can definitely help to jumpstart labor if your body is ready for it - but if it's not, then sex can just be an excellent way to get your mind off the waiting, at least for a little while.
