what happen at drs appointment

At 37 weeks and 2 days she said she won't check my cervix since I'm not having any real contractions she did last time I was 1cm and half way thinned. When I said I wasn't having contractions she looked bummed! And it bummed me out! Should I be contracting? Wish I was!!

Your doctor is suppose to check u no matter what whn your that close to your due date. From 37 wks on out, it shouldn't matter if you had contractions or not cause most ppl don't start having real contractions until labor.  But I would ask for her to check me anyway

I didnt feel any contractions last time and went to 3 cms without feeling them. The first 2 I felt were an hour before my water broke.

I didnt feel contractions until labor which was exactly on my 39 week mark. And thats how alot of drs work. They wont check your cervix unless ur contracting or any other issues. It ***** though.

Thats weird with my first every appointment i had the doctor checked my dilation and all that good stuff especially that close to my due date. i didnt feel any contractions only when i was in labor. sometimes you can not always feel them.
