Gaining too much weight?

My pre pregnancy weight was 229 lb. I am now 30 weeks and weigh 255 lb. why am I gaining soo much weight.. with my first baby I gained 27 lb.

I'd say maybe healthier choices when eating and if your already doing that my guess would be to get checked out for GD, BP and thyroid. If all is well in those departments possibly genetics and every pregnancy is different as are our bodies. Good luck hun

What does your doctor say about it? My doctor is concerned that I am overweight. I'm only twelve weeks along and I weigh 169. I haven't gained weight, but actually lost about 17 lbs due to morning sickness. My doctor told me not to gain more than 15 lbs, but it would be preferable if I didn't gain weight at all. I'm very worried about managing my weight throughout the pregnancy, but I find journaling my food helps me not to over eat and exercise is always good (unless you're on bed rest).

I would be happy to have some of your weight haha. I'm 24 weeks and only gained 6lbs. No matter how hard I try im just not gaining anything...

Yeah every pregnancy can be different I gained 40 with my first and 35 with my second. .

Each pregnancy is different. I would love to have only gained that much. I gained about 60 with my first and 40 this time.

This is my first baby. Before I got pregnant I was 143. Last time I checked my weight was at 21 weeks and I was 162. Now I'm 23 weeks il be 24 on Thursday and il check my weight Friday. But so far I've gained about 20lbs and I think I'm gonna be gaining atleast 20more. If everyone is different
