dissapointing ultrasiund:((

I had my first ultrasound today to determine how far pregnant I am. The doctor predicted me being 8w4days well when she did my ultrasound on top of my belly she didn't see anything so she had to do vaginal and only found a yolk sac. So I still don't know how far I am but I'm not 8 weeks like I had hoped.

Yes they have me for a follow up in 2 weeks. I'm not worried she pointed out the yolk sac and told me that will be baby when he or she develops. It just really sux that in not as far as I am and I don't u derstand because I have missed 2 periods.

At eight weeks you should definitly see a baby. Either your dates are like 3 weeks off or you have a blighted ovum. I had one with my second miscarriage and was about 10 weeks and the sac was empty. Do they have you scheduled for a follow up?
I wouldn't worry to much about it until you go back. If they do another sono in about 2 weeks they should see a fetal pole.

With both of my pregnancies I got a vaginal one done first and was 8 weeks with both, I don't think they can see anything from doing belly ultrasound at 8 weeks but I did see a baby. I'm sorry, ***** to think you're further along then you really are but at least everything looked good :)
