What should I expect to happen at my first drs appt? Do they usually do an ultrasound?
I didnt get an ultrasound my first appt. Just pap, blood tests, a booklet and a prescription for prenatals.
Pap smear and ultrasound. Dr. Gave me some basic information about what is normal and what is a concern for first trimester. I got a book as well that has great information.
Its different everywhere. At my first I have a vaginal ultrasound, pap, breast exam, urin test, blood tests, did my paperwork and went over nutrition and such with the nurse for a good 30 minutes.
They almost always do an altrasound the first visit to make sure the baby is in the right spot.
