what to expect??

I have taken 5 different pregnancy tests and they all came out positive. I scheduled an appointment with my OB/GYN for next week and i am so nervous! Im just curious as to what to expect at my first appointment?

Congrats to you!
They just talk to you about medical histories for you and the father of the baby.  Tell you about nutrition, what to get lots of and what to avoid.  They do vitals like check your weight, temp, blood pressure, and they do bloodwork.  Most will schedule you for an ultrasound/pelvic exam for a later date.

my first appt is 12/18 ill be 6 weeks 4 days. EDD is 08/09/10

Same for me.  My first they did a urine test for confirmation.  They took blood to find out my blood type, tests for different diseases and such.  They may do a pelvic exam too.  They gave me literature on pregnancy and probably will give u prenatals.  I didn't get any kind of ultrasound or anything b/c this is my first pregnancy and they only do early u/s and bloodwork for HCG if you have a problem.

Most first appointments only consists of confirming the pregnancy through a urine test and then paperwork unless you have an unusual history or having some sort of problem. Weight, blood pressure, and things like that will probably be done too. You will be set up for another appointment, usually in about 4 weeks.
