what to expect

So I have to take the 3 hour glucose test just kinda wondering what I should expect

So you can't eat anything before the test!! I had to do it and they draw your blood then you drink the stuff and it taste really bad cuz its more sugary. Then every hour they draw your blood till the 3 hours is up. Just warning you that it makes you nauseous but don't throw up cuz then you have to do it all over again!!!

From what I read you will have to adjust your diet and take your blood sugar several times a day as well as excersize and if that doesnt help then take insulin. Im not 100% sure but I also think they monitor you and the baby more closely. Ive never had it, im still waiting on my results from mine I took today, but I googled it and thats pretty much what it said

Yicks I dont like my blood being taken.. I dont like shots either I get dizzy and feel like poop after..last time I went to the drs I got my blood drawn and a shot in my butt hope I dont have to do the shot again but ill do what I got to do for my little man... thanks I just dont like not knowing what is going to happen and I hurd a couple other things so wasnt sure

I just did mine today. I wasnt allowed to eat anything before the test. went in they drew blood to make sure my levels were ok for me to drink the stuff. I drank it, got my blood drawn an hour after drinking it, then again at 2 hours after, and the last time at 3 hours after the drink

When i did it i had to carb load 3days then fast 12hrs go in they drew blood then 30mins later i drank the glucola 100 then every hr after that for 3hrs i had to get blood drawn .  I felt super nauseas n tired but come to find out i have gestational diabetes
