So like i posted yesterday i went to labor and delivery due to sharp pains in abdomen and back along with contractions....doctor gave me an extra boost in fluids which helped a little bit but he also gave me a pill they called a muscle relaxer...all it did was knock me out cold four several hours!! I'm grateful for the sleep don't get me wrong. But today they are coming back. I'm so nervous that I'm cleaning and organizing like crazy. My leg hurts again but not swollen, thank God....here is the question.

What was the freaking point of the muscle relaxer!?

Maybe it was more to give you some relief because you weren't progressing? Go for a strong walk, do stair climbs, and have sex to push it along. Sounds like labor to me and you are far enough along where they won't stop you.

I don't think it worked very well or like it was supposed to.  I am not going to let them give me anything, i don't like the idea if stopping labor once we reach the safe to deliver point.

I'm guessing the muscle relaxer was to try and help the uterus relax. Helping to stop contractions. Because a contraction is basically somebody flexing their arm muscles, just stronger.

Yup I'm dilated to almost 2cm. And the pain is back.

Did they check to see if you were dialated?
