what would you recommend for a first time mother to buy?

I'm buying a crib, stroller/car seat combo, diapers/wipes, and clothes. Anything else i should add to the list?

I'm just going to name off what all I got recently: bouncer (I had 2 given to me one for downstairs and one for in the bathroom when I take a shower), pack and play, crib, mattress, sheets (at least 2), bedding (at least 2), clothes, bibs, burp cloths, receiving blankets, hooded towels, wash cloths, shampoo, body wash, lotion, powder, baby oil, butt paste, baby ibuprofen, baby orajel, baby sunscreen (spf 50), diapers, grooming/healthcare kit, baby monitors, wipes, safety q-tips, memory book, child proofing kit, play gym, laundry detergent, caps, mittens, socks, laundry basket, diaper bags,  swaddle blankets, night lights, gas relief, pacifiers, hangers, BREATHABLE bumper, nursing pads, nipple cream (if breast feeding), humidifier, bottle brush, poppy pillow, first aid kit, etc. ... I was going through my baby list today because I didn't get a baby shower so we got to buy everything and im sure im still missing things

the mirror that goes in the back to keep an eye on your little one while driving(install this before baby comes home).... oh and i have to say i absolutely LOVE my microwave sterilizer! a couple of my second time mom friends have used it and fell in love where they had to go buy their own... i use it lots for my breast pump, and suckies and nipples and lids to my platex bottles but its far too convienant and you dont have to boil water or keep an eye on it.... add water and pop in the microwave and your done!

Bassinet, baby bath, crib sheets, crib bumper, blankets, baby scrap book if you want, piggy bank, car window shades to block out light, hooded towels and wash rags, bouncer, high chair. Not all of these are essential, but i feel I will need them. Ftm due any time now.

Yes mittens!! Or your baby will attack it's face! I have about 12 pairs he constantly wears em even though I trim his nails!
