Advice from already moms plz

I posted a question in the ppd forum but dont know if it will even get read cause the forum seemed pretty dead but I could really use some help/advice asap cause I dont know what to do or even who to turn to any advice/help would be and is much appreciated thanks in advance if anyone reads it or answers

Thats a while but better than not getting help I guess and I dont plan on being on them long only long enough to help me out or as long as they tell me to be

It's fine. I wouldn't recommend antidepressants as a long term solution but they can really help. If you ever need to talk feel free to message me. Hope your appointment goes well and you.start feeling better soon. Just a heads up the medication I was on took three weeks or so.to start working

Nope but everything has possible side effects and everyone reacts differently. Make sure you ask.anything to your doc ..I'd write down things you want to talk.about to take with you.

Did you have any ill side effects from the meds

I took antidepressants for a year and they really helped me whilst I was in a bad place. I came off them and haven't needed them since, they pulled me through a difficult time. Discuss any worries with your doc.. ask for counselling if you feel that would help..it definitely helped me

Thank you its just hard and I dont really know how to handle it cause I didnt have it with my first and havent had any depression problems since middle school and I dont know how meds will make me feel cause I never took anything when I had depression as kid

I've suffered with depression for eight years and it is not easy but they've never threatened to take my daughter away. They've offered advice, support and help x

If you are feeling as bad as you said phone tomorrow hun you need some support you don't need to struggle alone. They would never take your kids off you they are there to help and asking for help shows you are a great mum x

Went to your profile and read the question. You can call your ob and tell them your symptoms. Regular depression IS ppd after delivery. It needs to be treated the same way.

I called my ob 6 weeks after delivery and he listened for a few minutes and called me in a prescription for zoloft. I felt better in a little over a.month and haven't needed it since. I struggled with depression from 13y/o until 23&1/2. Its no joke! They wont take your baby or put you on suicide watch (that's what I was afraid of and why I waited so long). The fact that you're reaching out for help shows you want help. Please, please, PLEASE contact your ob!!!

Just seen your post. Hun you could have ppd or normal.depression but you need to tell your midwife. Or your bond with baby could be at risk. It's not like it used to be thwres so much support for.women suffering with ppd..its nothing to be ashamed of and trust me they wouldn't take your kids away!! they will help you not punish you x

I dont know if its ppd or just regular depression or just in my hormonal head but I feel like im "going to lose it"
