Update: I was referred to a cardiologist after going to my OB and having my blood sugar and blood pressure come back fine. Had to have a 5 min EKG, wear a heart monitor for 48 hours, and do an hour long resting echo. Got the results today. Turns out my problems are due to abnormalities in my heart that the heart monitor picked up. My heart skips anywhere from 1-3 beats randomly throughout the day.
Same thing happened to me and I was severely dehydrated if I was you I would go to er
I get dizzy spells all the time! I have come close to passing out a few times.
They have done tests on me and never found anything out of the ordinary, so they say I'm dehydrated, and need to drink more water..
I wish everyone the best of luck who are going through the same thing! I will update as soon as I find anything else out. Thank you all for your help and support
I have the exact same symptoms where i cnt stand long or do normal activities i also see spots & get lightheaded i just hurry up & lay down & after 10 min or so it usually goes away imma tell my doc asap im 35 wks i know i should have been said something
=/ hopefully the dr will tell u something. Maybe it's a lack of a certian vitamin your body needs. My blood sugar and everything is fine too, it still happens. Keep us updated when u find something out.
Mine hits me out of the blue. Usually dont have any warning signs before it hits. It doesnt matter if im sitting, standing, hungry, or full. Its wierd. Was feeling normal when I went to the dr so not sure still what exactly is going on
Ive had this my whole pregnancy and even before. I thought I used to pass out from not eating alot or drinking enough water. But now I eat plenty & drink water like crazy. If I stay in the shower too long or stand to long I start like getting shakey and feel this weight on my shoulders then I start seeing black dots if I dont sit down right away. It comes out of no where but I can feel it coming on. Is that what you feel? Idk what its from or why it happens. Just becareful because when you pass out well my experience you get top heavy and somehow your head goes to the floor first so watch for that baby..its scary =/
Tested my blood sugar, it was normal. Tested my blood pressure and it was a little high but he said nothing too concerning so they did an EKG to see if everything is related to my heart. I have to see a heart Dr tomorrow to check if its my heart and if that comes back normal he is going to blame it on the pregnancy and the baby causing my blood to not flow properly and constricting my blood vessels. Will update when I get my results from the EKG
Let me know. Because I've always had this problem even growing up as a kid and never knew what the deal was. But when im pregnant I can tell it hits more. I know I'm dehydrated. But they've never told me anything else. :/
Update: I called my dr first thing this morning and explained what was going on. Hes having me go in this afternoon to make sure everything is ok. the baby is still active but hes concerned about either low blood pressure or low blood sugar. Will update after the appointment
I am exactly like this today. I have extremely low iron and i believe that is the corse but i won't c my doctor for another two weeks yet to conform my suspicion
Ive blacked out , come to find out I was anemic. You might be low on iron
I always was dizzy I carried oj with me often and snacks helped a little and stay hydrated
U shld tell your OB I went thru the same thing and it was my blood pressure causing me to pass out . They may want you to do things a certain way to try and prevent more episodes of passing out
Thank you ladies. Just scares me cuz it hits me out of nowhere. Just really hoping its nothing serious
I passed out 4 times with my first and was always dizzy and light headed . With my second I was dizzy and lightheaded the whole time. My doctor says it could be low blood sugar (it shouldn't be iron if your taking your prenatals) so he said I should pop a candy bar every time I feel dizzy and see if it worked. Which it did lol
It could be low iron or low blood sugar. I have both and have passed out from it and I am constantly getting dizzy spells
