Thing you're absolutely stubborn about concerning pregnancy/childbirth/infant care?  The one issue you would fight for? Properly using carseats? Breastfeeding? Epidural? Episiotomy?
Whatever it is, I'm curious. Just list what your one stand is and why, please don't start an argument if someone posts exactly the opposite from you.
My one stubborn is breastfeeding. I'm a total lactivist and it's really hard to rein myself in sometimes. Typically I try to avoid threads about formula feeding vs breastfeeding because I feel so strongly about it but I also understand it's not my choice.

So what about the girl is raped by her father and gets pregnant? Lets say she lives out of a box now. No home, raped by her father, no money, NOTHING. Is she not allowed to have an abortion either? Even if it does mean that the baby will definitely grow up in a screwed up environment and have mental issues? We should subject that poor child to a life of pain and resentment? I think there should be stronger regulations to the law to prevent the idiot 18 year old who just doesn't want their mommy and daddy to find out she's whoring around. But i believe there are cases out there that deserve a means to an end. What would you do ?

I'm against abortion except in rare cases like my older sisters, and also the one thing that irritates me is when people tell me that if I would have breastfed my younger son he wouldn't be allergic to milk and they don't even know me because if they did they would know I tried breastfeeding him for 2 weeks and he was actually losing weight due to excessively vomiting every bottle back up before his doctor suggested putting him on soy formula he was born with his milk allergy but nobody could figure out that's what was wrong with him he spent 8 hours in the NICU due to it happening during our hospital stay but they said it was due to the mucus he was trying to get up due to me having him via c-section

I'm against smoking (anything) and drinking during pregnancy. I don't care how many times anyone says it won't hurt baby, it makes me sick to think about someone basically letting their newborn smoke and drink. You're sharing your body, it's not just yours anymore. :\ Not saying you have to quit cold turkey but you should at least consider getting help in quitting or at least cutting back in my eyes. Doing hard drugs like heroin is unforgivable to me, that's a baby, it makes me shiver. x__x And you mentioned proper car seat installation and use. I don't see why anyone wouldn't care if they used it right but if they did, it would really irk me too lol. I mean no disrespect to anyone, just my opinion.

Irresponsible parenting... in my eyes, family and children are the #1 blessings God can bestow on anyone.. I hate to see children mistreated, abused, taken for granted. Can't stand to see a mother/father put their own wants/needs in front of their own child's. Priorities need to be in line. God first, then your family/children and all else will fall into place. I've witnessed it so much (with my own children's father) that their wants and needs are met before my babies and it breaks my heart. Some people just don't deserve to become parents.

I would have to say people who say I need to get my son circumcised. For example my obgyn she is telling me not to do it. My family says to to it. And it just is irritating to sit here and do my own research on it and they get mad because I am just pointing out pros and cons for both sides. I am due in may and still havent figured out whether I wanty son to be circumcised or not.
I will be breast feeding if I can. This is my miracle baby and possibly the only baby I will be able to have so I willbe doing everything in my power to make sure iI am doing the right thing and that he is getting everything he needs to be healthy.

Infant care.. I see a lot of women leave their babies or toddlers at home with their mom or basically, whoever is willing to watch them. Leaving your kid at home so you can go screw your bf or go drink at the bar with your non-mom friends is a bit out of line. Nothing bothers me more than this..Going to work is great, I love working moms, not the party moms though. You signed yourself up for motherhood, so grow the hell up..

Abortion.  No thank u it's sickening just finding out how they do it, from a video, its killing.. to me...and also the readiness of epidurals in some countries, it's not the only pain relief and can often make ur labour worse ending in a c section.

The one thing I hate is when other mothers are so close minded about these issues. It is every woman/parents choice how they want to give birth, feed their baby (some people have no choice I myself could not breastfeed and shouldn't be made to feel like I failed my child) abd bring up their children. Obviously I hate when people out themselves before their children and as long as a child ya truly happy and healthy no one has a reason to judge another woman or parent xx

I always love to see someone saying they want to try breastfeeding!  I had alot of problems and pain and I worked full time before I weaned after a yr so I don't totally agree with ppl that won't do it cuz they are afraid its gonna hurt or they have to work or w/e by no means does it make them a bad mom but theres so many bonuses to it and not just for baby I don't understand y anybody won't at least give it a shot if they can if nothing else the beginning of babies life when its so important for them but I just put my opinions out there and thats all they are is feelings and opinions and im not gonna force it down anyones throat

I have lots. But of late, its my birthing choice. I've chosen to have a cesarean because I'm having twins. I don't want to risk labour and having one naturally only to have to have a cesarean for the other one. Im so over midwives trying to talk me around to a natural birth. At the end of the day, its my body and my recovery. As long as they both arrive healthy and safely, I don't believe anyone else should have an opinion on the subject.

I'm pro abortion. I can't even begin to tell you how many babies have been brought in to the hospital abused and left to die and when I say abused it's in every way including sexual. It's enough to want to kill someone and cry all at the same time. Those women didn't give those babies up for adoption they just left them there and police are the ones that brought them to us. They should have got an abortion! ! Don't get me started on that particular topic...

Well the number one thing I'll fight for in a woman right to choose so I'm pro-choice and I feel if one isn't for abortion don't do it but it's not anyone place to say wrong or right. Nobody have to go through that pregnancy but her if she chooses to or not. It's legal and it's safe majority of the time for the female.

Taking medicine during pregnancy. I had severe hyperemesis while I was pregnant, and by 22 weeks I was still loosing weight. I was taking zofran, but it was hardly helping. So my dr put me on a zofran pump, and it injected the medicine directly into me round the clock. I had many women tell me I was terrible for putting chemicals into my body, and intomy baby. Truth is, its a miracle I didn't miscarry, because by the time I started gaining weight I was severely underweight. I do believe that if you don't need medicine then you shouldn't take it, but if you do take it you shouldn't be bashed by people for it. Especially when they don't know the circumstances.
