My gp an midwive hav done nothing bt confuse an scare me. my gp said she couldnt find the position of the babys head my midwive hasnt returned any of my calls. What the hell is going on?? Does this mean my baby will hav to come quicker or I need to hav a csection I am soo scared. plz help.

Thats good :).. i passed my glucose test as well.. but as i said every midwife is different.. many midwives dont let you call in case of emergency.. they tell you to call Maternity ward instead.. my mw picks up the phone the second i call her.. i was disappointed with her before thinking she gave me less appointments but she is making up for it :)

Called the helpline an got through to a really nice midwive. She want through it with me an explain that my measurement could be big becoz iam a big girl an that maybe why doctors not running to sending me to have a scan done. She also explain since I pass my gluco test it has nothing to do with that bt I can still get it an stay away from sugary things. I will wait until feb appointment with community midwive an see what happenes inshallah khar. I feel less strss noow thank god.

My appointment is also at 34wks and hospital midwife said if i measure above 90percentile i should be sent back for another U/S... if you have been measuring big for long time then your midwife should send you for atleast one U/S just to be sure that its not amniotic fluid... dont worry about C-Section.. NHS has to pay for surgeon so they try there level best to avoid that.. also if you ask for epidural they ll also try to avoid it lol.. they ll try to put u through natural because they want to avoid extra payments (MY brother is doctor)... but i would say your midwife is not doing her job properly.. 3times you measured big and yet no U/S? if her hb is below belly button means she is head down, you dont have placenta previa coz you would have had some symptoms.. so its either baby is big or there is too amniotic fluid around her or may be its just coz of your size she.. but honestly my midwife was exact as U/S :).. so i know they mw's can find uterus :)

I called them today an have been told samething my girl bh is below my bellybotton. I am a big girl an I thought maybe thats why bt I been measurin big since my 26weeks appointment with my gp I was measuring 28weeks. At my 29 weeks I was measurin 33weeks an yesterday 31weeks I was measuring  35weeks. I hav another appointment with my community midwive at 34weeks I an gona see what she says. I am soo worried I really dont want a csection its soo scary.

Alot of midwives dont bother unless u measure  big at ur nxt appointment aswell.. If u look in ur notes where fundal chart is it says there if u measure big or small  for the 1st time thy shouldnt worry... I m still shocked how my mw sent me over for u/s.... Her measurements n u/s measurement were exact... Dont bother wiv ur gp.. Try tlking with ur mw... Also if u r big girl ur fundal measurement might not be accurate.... Just wait for nxt appoinment wiv mw..if u still measure big thn complain... Usually u cn tell if baby is head down or lying low where u find her hb... My boy hb always found below belly button... My mw checks at every appointment... So she knws n i knw he is head down... Where does ur mw find ur lil gurls hb?

Thats what I tried telling them bt they dont seem concerned the gp just said talk to you community midwive in two weeks time. I dont know If I can wait that long really. I am stressing out I am gona call the gp again 2morrow..

No.. Ur midwife need to send u for u/s... I m from england too.. Just had u/s st 31wks... I went fundal measurements n thy were two wks ahead... My midwife is so gr8 she sent me straight away for u/s... N indeed baby had growth spurt n already measuring 4.18lb.. I m told to wait till 34wks appointment if i measured above 90percentile line will be needing another u/s.. But i dont think thy will do nything... Unless ur baby is breech coz when baby is not head fown u tend to measure big... In tht case thy perform c section... But thy really need to do u/s to rule out excessive amniotic fluid or baby being breech.. Coz sometimes fundal measurement can be wrong.. U/s can show better picture...
