true or false

I am 29 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and I have read lots of articles that say your second labor is less painful and the time is usually cut in half.....how many people has that been true for? My first labor was pretty short and fairly easy so I hope the things I read are true.....fingers crossed :)

All I know is I was 20 hours for my mom, and my little brother was 5 lol. I guess it's never a for sure thing because each pregnancy is different.

My first was 8 hours nd wasn't to bad. My second was 5 nd he was painful due to epidural not working on half my body. My 3rd was 7 hours nd I was extremely sore that's about it. This one I've been in early labor for a month so we shall see.

My first labour was 17 hours of contractions, I was in agony and had all the drugs the hospital could offer. My 2nd labour was 12 hours, I was sat in a cafe 5 hours in eating a full English with my fiancé! Only had gas and air for one hour as I transitioned and the labour was soo much easier to manage x

My first pregnancy was 6 hours of natural labor and my second was 2 hours of natural labor now I'm 20 weeks pregnant and scared this labor will be like 30 minutes lol both were intense but the second one was more painful.

I think its more the fact that 2nd and subsequent labours are usually quicker, though not always.... so you tend to think of them being less painful as you wernt in as much pain for as long as you were the first time :)

My first labor was 18.5 hours and moderately painful. My second was 24 hours and I was in agony. I swore my uterus was rupturing with every contraction. So, it wasn't true for me at all.
