when is gestational diabetes considered uncontrolled?
Okay so the week before last I went to my doctor and she checked my blood sugar thing and was happy about my sugars. Well I told her my sugar did spike up to 150 something but explained that I went walking and it went down to like 90. She saw it on the tester thing so she knew I wasn't lying. Well tonight it went up to 136. It was raining and I couldn't go walking. So I'm wondering what is considered uncontrolled GD? I've been doing really good and since the 150 something spike my sugars haven't been over 100.
You should be fine just make sure you walk around the time it's usually higher. Once in awhile shouldn't hurt
Okay my doctor wasnt really worried about the 158 because I went walking I'm just worried if they spike anymore will I be in danger is my main consurn
My doctor liked me to be under 130 but about 2-3 times a week it'd be high she wasn't concerned
Yeah my doctor says that too. They don't spike like this much like I said it's only happened a few times. But I don't want to be labeled a bad parent because I can't control this lol
I know my midwife says 90-120 is where she likes it to be anything higher then that she doesn't want, I test 4 times a day
I check mine everyday 3 times a day. I mostly keep mine below 110 but today I ate a parfait and it spiked.
I have this but I am not sure about the numbers. Alot of it is controlled by a low carb diet to help maintain lower sugar levels so they don't spike. I am not currently on a medication but I do check my blood 4 times a day and aim to keep it below 120.
When fasting my sugars are never at 90 and she did have me on medication but took me off because my sugar was dropping to almost the 40s
