when they do the strep b test

Don't they look for std's too? When I got mine they drew blood and said that was the std check. If the strep b test came back positive does that mean you have a std, not saying I have one because mine came back negative doctor said I didn't have to worry about anything

1st my waters went at 12 and then had I had my daughter 23 weeks and she obviously had an infection aswell she stayed inside me for 12 weeks witch is very rare. And I went into labour in novemeber at 21+6days my baby also had a cloudy fluid in my daughter's stomach but they couldnt find what it was because 1 of the midwives got mixed up with my placenta so they don't know but dont worry you will get antibiotics when your in labour I coukdnt have the antibiotics because I was to early and my baby was to small also and wouldn't survive

Well I've had group b strep when I was first pregnant with my daughter and I went in early labour from it it only affects some women like me its affected 2 of my pregnancys and went in to early labour twice and I'm now high risk I'm a carrier of group b strep its more likely for me to go in to early labour again I've lost 3 babys but only gave birth to 2 daughters but I'm hoping for the best if your a carrier then th they will swab you early but if you ent they will swab you 30 something weeks

They always check for STDs during pregnancy because some of them can be harmful for your baby.

The strep b just determines if you have to be on a certaun antibiotic during labor.

Group B Strep is not a std. They do is around 36 weeks. You swab right inside of your vagina n the outside n up your anus. If you test positive then they give you antibiotics during labor to protect the baby. It can't harm you but can harm the baby as it passes through birth canel.
