We can't wait until we can hear or maybe even see our baby. We are so excited and so blessed. I thought I couldn't get pregnant at all because of the other Guy I was with a long time ago and he has a daughter.
With my son I had one around 8w for dating the pregnancy, 20w for the anatomy scan, and 36w to see how large he was. With my current pregnancy I had them every 2 weeks starting at 6w til 12w, and now I get one every month, but my dr considers me to be high risk and is wanting to keep a close eye on the baby's growth. And when I get to be 30w I go back to having them every 2 weeks then 1 week. But he is trying to keep an eye on how fast she is growing because I have an issue with my uterus and when she reaches a certain weight he is going to deliver her.
I got one at 6 weeks, 10 weeks (my 2 appointments so far) and I'll find out next week at 14 weeks if it's every time. I hope it is, because I love seeing the baby.
Around here you normally can't get one until about your 20 week mark. If there is something seriously wrong going on like bleeding or if you were high risk you'll get them more often otherwise they won't.
I had one at 8w 5d just for a dating ultrasound and one at 21 weeks. And I think thats all I'll have veryone is different. My cousin had one at 8w, 12w, 20w, and another at 34w to make sure her son was in the right position for birth.
You know this is so weird for me to hear. My dr. had done an ultrasound every appt. The first one to confirm how far along I was, because by mlp should have been 8 weeks, was really 6 weeks. The second and third to make sure everything is growing in correct proportion. So far so good. Then I have my detailed us at about 20 weeks.
My friends who is also pregnant is just hoping to see her baby this appt. She's only a month behind me, but I guess her dr doesn't do it every time like mine does either. So I guess it all depends on your dr.
OK. I had a miscarriage when I was 15. Haven't gotten pregnant since and I'm 23 now. I'm 6w and 2 days along. Been a little nauseated not much at all. A little cramping everyday due to growing uterus. And of course the boobs hurts. I see my Dr next month and will hopefully be able to hear baby's heart beat.
A lot of people only get 1 at 20 weeks unless they do an elective ultrasound to screen for downs syndrome.
It's a normal time frame in between ultrasounds. Most people have one at 4-12 weeks, and one at 20 weeks and that's it.
