I was never told that with either pregnancy so haven't stopped. But I did pick up my toddler at 15wks and ripped all my pelvic muscles so I believe being careful about how much you lift is important.
Thats kind of like an old wives tale..
That's a myth there's nothing you can do to cause or prevent the umbilical cord to warp around the neck
My sister reached a lot and also my step mom and both babiea cord was wrapped around. I didn't care what people said myth or not. I say don't do it. Period
unless the baby does it there's nothing you can do about it to get it there or off....my little bro wrapped it around his neck three times only because he was constantly turning and doing somersaultas and flips every time he was awake and the Dr sais it wasn't our mom it was him and there was no way you can wrap it around its neck
The umbilical cord is not attached to any muscle in your body outside the uterus. It's physically impossible to reach above your head and somehow move the cord, even more so to somehow wrap it around the baby. Watch medical videos, you'll see how ridiculous it is once you understand physiology.
I'm too scary to even trust. I don't know if it's true or not. It's very scary.
