why can people get put on bed rest??

I was put on bedrest for my first trimester due to bleeding. I was spotting for like almost 2 months.

Yeah I tested positive for that test 3 weeks ago but he's being awesome and staying in there!

I don't think you can do anything to prevent it. It just happens. I was fine and one night and the next night I was having painful contractions.  
I showed no previous signs of preterm labour.

It Is A Vaginal Test And They Tested Me Cause I Thought I Was In Preterm Labor But Was Not! My Obgyn Said They Normally Don't Run That Test Till Your LastMonth Unless They Have A Reason to

My Obgyn Didn't Really Say Why It's Softening Idk      If She Can Really Tell Why But She Told Me To Start Walking So I Don't Gain Too Much Weight Which I Haven't Gained Too Much More Then I'm Supposed To So I Started Walking And Had Only Walked For 2-3 Nights And This Happened So Idk If Walking.Caused It Or What Happened.

And theres nothing they can do to prevent it or ourselves to prevent it? Does exercise help or eating a certain way or ddrinking more water I just worry because bed rest would be difficult for me if I was told to go on it.. but im literally on my but 24/7 since I dont work

That's why I try to tell everyone to enjoy their pregnancy and not take it for granted.  Thinking you may have your baby at 32 weeks was very scary for me!

There are many things. With my son i was on bedrest because of placenta previa.

Yup i was having a completely normal pregnancy and then just one day I started having contractions and turns out i was dilating. It was honestly so surprising

Cervical changes, preeclampsia, pre term labour, placenta previa.
I find out tomorrow if I'm gonna be put on bedrest since I've been having contractions and dialating at 32 weeks.

I'm not sure why other people are but I am on bed rest because I went into preterm labor at 31 weeks and luckily they stopped it. So now I am on bed rest till i have my little boy!
