why is my body not registering im pregnant?

Okay. I'm 6 weeks pregnant. However, I have no HCG levels showing up. My doctor won't explain this to me. I know I'm pregnant because my doctor told me and did a vaginal ultrasound to listen for a heartbeat. However on a pregnancy test I'm getting negatives. Why??

its very rare but some ladires just dont test positive to a pregnancy until well into their first trimester, it does happen and you seem to be one of those ladies :)

I would go to a different doctor. That's really weird. Like the other girl said it usually means you're having a miscarriage but if they seen a heartbeat that can't be true. Schedule an appt with a different one n tell them you're situation n ask them to explain it.

I'm not sure. I asked my Dr and she skirted the issue.

I've never kept tract of hcg levels , but from my understanding, they'll double every 48 hrs or something, if your pregnant. if they don't or drop, then your not pregnant or having a miscarriage? that's what ive read.
