why people try to induce early?

Now that im 40 weeks plus 1 day, i seriously dont know why people try to induce early. I know some have to for medical reasons, but i mean being 40 weeks and pregnant is not that bad actually. like of course, im cramping, my feet are like elephant feet, my back is killing me, i dont sleep at night, i fell in the shower on my due date, I can barley walk at all and im a size of a house, i been snappy with my boyfriend, and im not comfortable at all!. so yes, i do have pregnancy problems, but other then all that i feel actually fine. And im now in no hurry to have the baby. I strongly believe that baby will come when he/she is ready .

I can honestly say, Im a happy 40 weeks pregnant women. :)

When it comes down to it nobody has he rights to judge you but everyone knows if you and baby are healthy jus let mother nature due her thing. I'mnot in aanyone's shoes but it frustrates me to know end hat I'm further along than these girls that are tryinbto induce. If your uncomfy and want to see the baby how due you think Iffeel. But again its yalls body and baby I respect yalls choices.

People don't understand how important it is to keep the baby inside until full term!! I'm only 32 weeks pregnant and I'm doing ALL i can to keep my baby inside, bed rest has not been fun. I stay to feel depressed seating in my house all the time and I literally have every uncomfortable symptom you can have but its much better than having a baby who can possibly have complications. I can't wait to see my baby but I wouldn't risk his health for my own selfish reasons!

But Greyson says well mom its awful cozy in here I think I'll stay a little while longer. And I'mlike you go rright ahead son Daddy might be ready but we can easily slap he crazy out of him!!

exactly. My due date was yesterday and Yes, I said im happy at 40 weeks, but that's because im healthy, my baby is healthy, and my only really problems are things that are normal for pregnancy. I can't sleep at night, my feet are so swelled that i can not walk at all, and my back is killing me. but i much rather be in discomfort for the health of my baby. I

Yup all these ladies saying well you don't know how their pregnancy is. Unless you are having medical health issues, trust your doc to do his/her job.  I have 2 weeks left and I am so very happy and thankful everyday that my little man is in my tummy there are lots of women who pray everyday NOT to have their baby cause they aren't anywhere near their due dates and these young ladies are just ready to throw in the towel. Come on ladies your nearly there. If we can do so can you.

i agree. Like yes i want to meet my baby more then anything, but i rather him/her be nice and healthy and stay in until she/he is ready rather then induce and meet my baby early but possibly have a baby with health problems that could  be prevented if he/she stayed in a little longer.

Its better to wait till 37 weeks but just because your thirty seven weeks doesn't mean your baby will thrive outside your womb my so no said my son was 4.5 can you imagine if I would have tried to induce myself because Iwas uncomfy... Everybody on here is!!! Like my midwife told me, a week or even a couple more days can make all the difference. More time to put on those extra pounds plus with only 2 weeks left till my due date you know this momma is catching up on her sleep!

oh, i know not all pregnancy are easy, mine was no where easy either. And my post is more for the people who try to induce just because they want to see their baby or because she just dont want to be pregnant anymore.
It really ***** that you had a crappy prgnancy.
Yes im 40 weeks and happy, but non the less my pregnancy was extremely hard.it could be worse, and i know i can go longer being pregnant. which is why im not rushing anything :)

Not all pregnancies are easy my body has been physically sick and exhaused this whole time maybe im not meant to carry kids but thispregnancy was the hardest thing ive ever had to do and im ready to just be done.. i love kids and wish this pregnancy was a happy and easy one but it def was not. You are lucky that u feel great i wish i were you!

Lol it's okay, I decided to get induced on my son due date.cz I couldn't.wait.to meet him. And idk if my.body was going.to be able to.hold him for long. I never tried inducing my pregnancy, he was my.1st and I didn't knw wat to.expect. I just went.w, the pregnancy. Now my.second Ima go full term as well but.if he/she comes early.then tht be fine (: and I mean like.a week before their due date (:

I'm right there with you. I agree with you. I wouldn't TAKE anything at home to try and induce. If doctors feel it's something that needs to happen, than fine. Good luck to you! Hopefully baby comes on his own

Well, Im no angel. I did try to self induce at 37 weeks, but i never done anything that could harm my baby, all i did was have sex, walk ect.. i did things that i would do normally and things i did throughout my pregnancy, like walked. lol. But I will NEVER take anything that even has a 00.01% chance in harming my baby.  
And now that im 40 weeks, I dont know why i was in such a hurry to have my baby, like yes i want to meet him/her but, they are clearly not ready.
My dr. want to induce me but i refuse, so they are giving me ten days for baby to come on his/her own then i have to be induced. :(

I would understand if they induce early at 37weeks. And some pregnant girls who are full term and baby still dnt come on their own still get induce.

Amen sista! Gosh I'm 36w and I can't wait to meet my boy but I will let him come when he's ready. nothing is more annoying than reading these girls trying to take stuff to have their baby. Baby will come when he/she is ready. Unless the doctor says OK you have to have the baby early, you really shouldn't. Just because they are bored or uncomfortable that's so dumb! We all are!
