worried.. please help

I went in for an u.s last week thursday at 10 weeks. My baby seemed healthy. Good heartbeat and was developing normally. Today I had a prenatal checkup and it's only been 5 days. My doctor used the doppler for the very first time with this pregnancy and wasn't able to locate the heartbeat. A second nurse tried and nothing. She said it might be the baby's position or my uterus isn't yet letting them hear the baby's heartbeat, they scheduled and ultrasound again for next week just to make sure baby is ok. I am worried that something is wrong. Any one going through same thing??

Thanks ladies. I feel better. I believe everything is ok. Am praying so much and have faith that my baby is in there, he/she is probably just being a stubborn one.

Most dopplers can't get the heartbeat till around 12 weeks. It's normal for you to be worried, but also normal not to hear it with a doppler yet

I wouldn't freak. I am 11 weeks with twins & they pull me in the ultrasound room every time I go. They haven't really gotten good heart tones on the doppler with me either. It's nice though bc the ultrasound is right across the hall.

I didn't get to use the dipper till 16 weeks with an independent company. And my dr didn't do it till 18 weeks. I'm sure baby is okay. :) Try not to worry! Even at 18 weeks for me she had a hard time cause of the way baby was positioned.

Happened to me at 12 weeks Dr and nurse couldn't find it, I was told it was normal that the baby was probably moving...He did an ultrasound and everything was good and yes the baby was really moving lol...I'm 16 weeks now and go in next week and I'm sure they will be able to hear it.

I had the the Doppler done like a week ago and I'm barely 10 weeks or so.  The doctor was able to find the heartbeat right away, but she said that if she couldn't find it, then not worry cus sometimes it is hard to find it.

I first had the Doppler done at 12 weeks and even then the Dr said not to be concerned if they didn't find anything because its still hard to hear that early on.

That's what they did last week. Vaginal ultrasound and then just the regular ultrasound. But thanks hopefully it's nothing serious.

They wouldnt use a doppler for me til 20 weeks because they said the baby is too small for them to find and hear the hearbeat with a doppler so they did vaginal ultrasounds to hear the heartbeat.
