Thanks guys :) ive been pretty crampy since i got back, so im hoping my little girl will come anyday.. Gettin impatient!
With my first pregnancy, I was having contractions and I wasn't sure if they were real or close enough together or not, so I called my Dr, a nurse told me something I will never forget... She asked me if this was my first and I said yes, and she said that once it's the real deal, you will know. And I thought she was full of crap.. When the time comes, the real contractions are very dead set... They're painful, they are spaced evenly and they do get closer together. Only then did I know what she was talking about. From my experience, what you are having are braxton hicks. Trust me, you will know when it's time to go to the hospital. Good luck.
With mine I ha a Dr appt and Dr told me I was having them. I went home and 6 hrs later I was like OK they are stronger... But how do I know when its the real thing. Wow they got way intense... Everyone is different but I was always nervous about not knowing but when it was time there was no mistake about it (for me anyway)
They seemed pretty regular when i was on the monitor, like the contractions on paper were evenly spaced out.. Ive been having period like cramps for a while, the contractions i saw/felt today were like a pressure on my bum/vagina, it was easier to tell what they were when i saw the monitor numbers go up..
I was told once you start feeling period like cramps to start to monitor them and if they come in weird intervals you are having braxton hicks but if they are every 3-5 minutes they are the real deal and you need to go asap
