late but negative test... could i be pregnant

.I had unprotected sex on my wedding night. . . which turned out to be day 11 of my cycle. About 10 -12 days later i had spotting... Now my period is late by 8-9 days. I tested on day 6 of my missed period and the results were negative. Could i be pregnant even though i waited to take my test after i missed my period.  Should i test again or should i wait? .

due to just getting married you could have been stressed which can cause you to ovulate later than normal.  Therefore you could think you are late but not actually be because of when you ovulated. From the time you ovulate to when your next cycle starts is always the same but the time from when you start a new cycle to when you ovulate can always change depending on what's going on in your life. I would wait another week and see what happens. congrats on your marriage tho. :)

I posted a similar question, my period is late but about 9 days and I took a test and it was negative.  Hope you get your answers.  I am still trying to find out when I should test again.  Its hard not to think about when your late and your test is negative

I would wait til you are 2 weeks late to test again if at that point it comes back negative you may have just skipped a cycle which happens sometimes....now you can always call your doctor and have them do a blood test to check your HCG levels sometimes levels are to low to show up a urine test .

I wish you the best of luck though and hope you get your BFP soon :)
