witch hazel pads

Alright so I gave birth a week ago. My stitches fell out over the weekend. There has been no excessive bleeding, no foul smelling odor and no fever. Im just wondering if I should go out and buy more to see if that will help with the healing process some? I ran out Friday morning. Just wanting some insight is all

Yes it safe.Be sure to use pure aloe vera gel  (I will use it fresh from the plant) and you can use other essential oils like German chamomile oil and rosemary oil.
You need 2 cups of witch hazel
1/2 cup of pure aloe Vera gel
15 drops Rosemary essential oil
15 drops German chamomile essential oil
15 drops lavender oil
* mix it all together and spray it from spray bottle to maxi pad. Wrap each pad with foil and store it in the fridge. Let it thaw for 2 min before put it on.
This recipe I found through Google.

Just looked this up on Mayoclinic.org about Post Partum care:

If you had an episiotomy or vaginal tear during delivery, the wound might hurt for a few weeks. Extensive tears might take longer to heal. In the meantime, you can help promote healing:

-Soothe the wound. Cool the wound with an ice pack, or place a chilled witch hazel pad — available in most pharmacies — between a sanitary napkin and the wound.
-Take the sting out of urination. Pour warm water over your vulva as you're urinating. Press a clean pad firmly against the wound when you bear down for a bowel movement.
-Keep the wound clean. Use a squirt bottle filled with water to rinse the tissue between the vaginal opening and anus (perineum) after using the toilet.
-Sit down carefully. If sitting is uncomfortable, sit on a pillow or padded ring.

While you're healing, expect the discomfort to progressively improve. Contact your health care provider if the pain intensifies, the wound becomes hot, swollen and painful, or you notice a pus-like discharge.

Sounds like they might be good for healing. At Walmart a pack of Tucks Witch Hazel pads are like $7. It def might be worth it to pick them up!
