worried because of previous miscarriage

I had a miscarriage at over 7 weeks about 4 mos ago. I am now almost 5 weeks pregnant now and am worried that I will have another one..everything I do I fear of causing one. Physical that is. What are some things not to do in the first trimester..sex is ok right even if my man is very well endowed?

One miscarriage is very common and does not mean that you are likely to have another. I was told 40% of all pregnancies end in first trimester MC. I too have had 3 micarriage and one chemical pregnancy. I am almost 17 weeks now and everything is going well. I was told there is nothing you can do to cause a miscarriage, well except street drugs. Even if you are stressed and worried a lot. I went to a specialist who told me there isn't significant data to prove that stress causes miscarriages. Try to enjoy this time but I know it is hard. You feel like you're on pins and needles.

Sex is ok as long as its not painful or followed by heavy bleeding. Some light bleeding is normal. If you're in doubt you can always call your ob and they can talk to you about any questions and concerns you have. I have had 3 miscarriages and am now 20 weeks with my 2nd baby so things do work out. Sometimes it just takes longer to get there :)

I know how you feel, keep in mind miscarriages are very common and most women that have one go on to have completely healthy babies. As long as you're taking you prenatals, not drinking alcohol, smoking, street drugs. Minimize your cefeine intake, avoid raw fish, deli meats, undercooked meat and soft cheeses. Other then that, there's not much else you need to watch for. Best wishes

Sex is ok your baby is too small to feel anything and even in later trimesters they usually enjoy the gentle rocking sensation. I know how  you feel about being worried. I'm TTC and nervous about succeeding. But only after 3 MC does your chances for a healthy baby go down. For now, take prenatals, sleep and eat well.
