A lot of us ladies have given up a lot for our pregnancies and we will make very great mothers soon!!! How dare you come in here and judge these wonderful women like this. We are here to support each other, not to be critical of the few who make unguided decisions. You and Rn_Jc need to take a hike together and think about your word choices.

Dying your hair has never been proven to have any side affects but for fumes sake they recommend ammonia free dye and good ventilation. Same with getting your nails done, good ventilation due to fumes.

You can actually have quite a bit of caffeine. As in like 5 cans of soda a day. You shouldn't go overboard on it and it's listed in What To Expect When You're Expecting all the foods/drinks and the caffeine levels per serving in case anyone is interested. :)

Smoking is obviously bad so yeah that annoys me a bit. It kills adults so why people continue to do so while pregnant is beyond me but if they've at least cut back or are trying to quit they are making an effort and being a good mom.

The fact that people are asking is a good sign. At least they care. It may seem like they're dumb to not know it already but how can anyone get mad for someone asking so they make the right decision and changes?

I'm much more annoyed with the "I was fingered and maybe he had precum on his hand, am I pregnant?" questions seeing as this isn't the correct forum for that. Those questions get moved rather quickly though. :)

Caffeine and coloring your hair isn't bad.  Just because I have caffeine,  doesn't mean my child will be unhealthy. The smoking and drinking bother me, but to each their own.  Some women are just more cautious than others.

Fun fact the amount of hair dye absorbed in the blood stream is so small that it has absolutely no effects on a fetus. We're all here looking for answers, support, and sympathy.

I think even though it looks bad all the girls are trying to get answers, advice and help.  Especially if they are first time mothers this is a place where we are all trying to understand what we can and can't do. You look on the Internet and find conflicting advice so some girl's would rather ask someone who might know the answer or get advice.
