yeast infection medicine? ?????

Has anyone taken diflucan for a yeast infection while pregnant. My doctor gave it to me yesterday and I read that it has Not been proven safe for pregnant or nursing women. And no smart comments about "your doc wont give you anything unsafe to take while prego" because I started bleeding a WHOLE bunch last night/this morning around 1am and I had to go to the hospital. That's why I'm asking.

Honestly they didnt say anything they did tell me that my baby was okay. I figured that because i let the infection go on so long (cause at the beginning I didnt really know what was going on) that's why I was bleeding. I'm having little to no bleeding now I was just worried thanks for helping me put my mind at ease!

I have taken Diflucan during all of my pregnancies (this is my 4th) because pregnancy changes your vaginal ph balance. Jean is right- yeast infections are extremely dangerous during pregnancy and can definitely cause the bleeding you're describing. What did the ER doc say?

idk about that brand, but I've definitely taken yeast cream medication prescribed by my doctor. I learned yeast infections are potentially harmful.
