I haven't because I haven't officially been to her office yet. So I don't feel comfortable calling the on call Dr.  I think I'm stressed more because I am afraid I am being a nervous nelly and over reacting.

Try not to worry. It could just be implantation bleeding. From as early as you are, that would be my best guess. I had some when I was around 11 weeks with my first pregnancy. It was pretty bright red, and that is what the nurse told me. She must have been right, because I have a very strong, very energetic 3 year old running around :)  Just take it easy and try not to worry, which I know, even on pregnancy #2, that is easier said than done.

Flickan I feel the same as you ... I have read and googled myself crazy by this point. Have you tried to call your OB office and maybe leave a msg for the answering service, the Dr should get the msg and give you a call to reassure or give you advise. Good luck we are in this together momma!

Me too. It's more Brown than anything...just not sure what to do. I don't want to have an unnecessary er bill but don't want to lose this baby. I'm a logical person but my emotions are getting in the way.. feel like I need someone to tell me what to do.

Preggie, are you having a mix of bright and dark blood? Minor cramping as well? (Cramps are way less than menstrual like and what I have already gone through ' getting my body ready')

I am 6wks+5dys and this is my first and I am experiencing the same thing... Friday morning after I wiped I had blood, I phone the Dr and they said just to monitor it and not to worry a lot of women bleed. I have had mild spotting now and am passing minor clots of Brown, which they say is also normal. My Dr said unless its being followed my major abdominal cramping its nothing to worry about. Easier said than done because I'm scared everytime I go to the bathroom.

Least you had yours at 8 weeks, my first was 10 weeks! But I see, they gave me a list of nurses and Obgyn's I can call and also like 20 pages of what not to eat, what to expect, etc. Maybe they'll give you yours next time but maybe ours Is juss different.  I'm glad your hubby was able to help you relax, I wish my boyfriends would do those things for me, ha. Try not to be too stressed out as It can hurt the baby, not trying to scare you, but we all go through stress sometimes, I know I do. Sounds like you have a lot going on, I hope that everything goes well, and I agree this website/app helps out a lot and has a lot of very supporting women that are eager to help others.

It happened to my friend not to long ago and its nothing bad! :) She went to the emergency &, they checked her & her bby & everything was fine! They said that the bby must have moved too harsh or something. So dont sweat it :)

They have me scheduled for my first appt. At 8 weeks and nothing before that. They didn't give me any numbers.
Hubby offered to give me a pedi. Took him up on it...helped me relax a bit more. Am going to just try and relax and take it easy. I've been going at full blast since before I found out I was pregnant. Maybe I just need to slow down a bit (ya right). I'm a musician and have practices and ensembles and2 different performances this week and one next week. I'm hosti.g thanksgiving. It's my hubby and my 1st turkey day together and his family is all coming over....this week should be a breeze. Less work than last week though, so that's a plus!
Thank you again. If it wasn't for these boards to lean on for extra support, Id be a basket case worse than I already am!

No problem! Glad I can help! Don't stress out, It's only a lil' bit. You're fine and the baby Is too! But my Dr told me to always talk to her about even the slightest bit of blood. That will ease your mind as well when you're able too. Does your clinic, or where ever you go, not have an emergency number? I have one for a 24/7 emergency or questions you have.

Everything Is still fine, I'm sure. When I was 10 weeks, I was spotting/wiping some blood (not a lot but enough to notice) for two weeks straight and when I went to my next appointment, my Dr. said everything was fine and I heard a heartbeat which put my mind to ease. She told me If It's bleeding like a period or soaking a pad In a few hours, then that's not a good sign.
