Same thing happened to me just a few weeks ago . I had a vaginal ultrasound as well as blood work done. They told me there was no heartbeat and that. I should miscarry the baby the following week . Now I'm 9 wks and after another check up it turns out my baby is as healthy as can be ! So don't worry it may just be too early to see it ..

With an internal ultrasound you should be able to see the heart beat at about 6 weeks. It's so tiny at this stage that you can't hear it but if you look Closely you can see it thumping. At 7 weeks it maybe strong enough for you to hear with an internal ultrasound. I'm seven weeks I had an internal and I could see it and hear it.

If it is on the early stage then it is normal. But on the later stage unfortunately there is nothing could be done.
