yeast infection

I just found out I am pregnant.  I am only 6 weeks along.  I have a pretty bad yeast infection and I went to the doctor to get the pregnancy test done.  My doctor was not able to see me because she had an emergency.  She prescribed Terconazole Vaginal cream 0.8%.  I read the precautions and it says not to take in the 1st trimester.  I am concerned because I am in a lot of pain from the yeast infection and I don't want it to harm the baby, but I don't want the prescription to cause birth defects either.  Please help.

I agree. I thought I was pregnant and had a yeast infection so I did a lot of research and everything told me to use Monistat 7. But it doesnt hurt to double check.

I believe Monistat 7 would be fine to take during pregnancy.  I would put a call in to the doctor anyway and she will call you back.
