your hair

There's a mild possibility that I may be gullible, but does your hair really fall out during pregnancy? I have thick longish hair and was thinking about cutting it short and I was told by another pregnant woman not to bc it'll fall out itself and wait til after pregnancy to see what you still have to work with.. lol

Your hair becoming thicker during pregnancy is also not due to prenatal vitamins, it is due to the hormones that are generated by your body which cause you to retain the hair that you would usually shed. You are actually not growing anymore hair than you usually would, you are just keeping everything that would usually fall out.

This is actually true for some women, but not everyone.  Some women lose hair during.  Some lose hair after and some women don't lose hair at all.

DURING pregnancy your hair actually grows more. Longer and thicker due to prenantal vitamins. But after you hair and nails will go back to how they were prepregnancy.

This can happen to some people, but does not happen to everyone. I am 21 years old and 26+1 weeks into my second pregnancy, I gave birth to my first on 09/13/13 and never lost any hair aside from the regular shedding that happens when you brush.

Some ladies do lose some hair But alot do not lose hair have thick hair and it got even thicker when I was pregnant with all 3 pregnancies. I did notice after I had the girls there was more hair in the drain after showers but I couldn't really see a difference. I wouldn't worry to much it's just the changes in hormones. Just keep taking prenatal vitamins after baby is born even if it's just over the counter Ones.

It does start to fall out after. If you keep taking your prenatals after birth it will help slow down the shedding. Or switch to biotin to help. The process of shedding is only slowed doesn't while pregnant because if your hormones

During pregnancy your hair doesn't shed like it normally does so after you have the baby all that hair it held onto comes out and it seems like your losing all your hair but your not its just the hair that was suppose to shed anyways
