My DAD After Surgery

My Dad is in his middle 50's and had prostate surgery at the end of August he just in the last 3 weeks has had blood in his urine and has been dealing with blood clots he is in a lot of pain. Why is this happening now and what can be done for it?
Please help and answer this question. I am a true daddy's girl and I am so worried about him.

Hi.
The bleeding may be part of the healing process after surgery. However, if it is extensive it may risk forming obstructions. Obstructions may not only be painful but may impair kidney function if protracted.  I agree that it should be evaluated by his doctor straightaway.
Stay positive and discuss your concerns with the doctor.

My husband  also had the surgery, and one of the things that was told to us by his  MD, is if you see Blood clots or have alot of pain call the office. Call his MD. and explain what's happening. I don't know if your father had the robotic surgery or open. I don't think it makes a difference. but having clots may not be normal.
