PSA Levels concern after Radical Prostatectomy

My husbands PSA level was 0.01ng/ml after a Radical Prostatectomy. His nerves were also removed. L/nodes still intact too. After 3mths PSA was 0.03. Another 3mths time levels have risen to 0.07. Is this a concern, as obviously we are.

Thanking you in advance, Suntandare

PS his operation was in very late Oct. 2011 it's only now Aug. 2012, the reason for massive concern.

Hi there!

I would not really think this to be a concern still and would like to observe the values over some more time. If the velocity continues to be high we may think of an alternative management plan.
Hope this helps.

Take care!

Many thanks for your reply, I will inform this forum of the outcome in Sept, when we see the Urologists Understudy.

Thank you again, we feel some relief already.

Thankyou for your reply, we can't do that yet until Sept 2012, but we will do it then.

First: check with the urologist/ surgeon who performed surgery. Second: the PSA level is still within a range that many labs would not even report  - because it is below the level at which accurate measurements can be made.
Agaiin- this is a question that should be addressed by the urologist, oncologist or primary care doctor- NOT this public forum.
