SCARED=please help!!

First of all think u for ur time in answering this, all opinions would be greatly appreciated. First of all let me tell you my symptoms. It started with what I thought was a uti, I had abdomen pain, urethra seemed to be irritated but did not  burn when I urinated. So I went to the doctor and did a urine test which was negative for bacteria. So I was given 10 days of cipro. I took the cipro as indicated and still was not better, also started having testicle pain, pelvic pain, lower back pain perineal pain, and abdominal pain, also felt like prostate was inflamed. I had no discharge and did not burn when urinating. I went back to the doctor and was told I had prostatitis. Psa was normal and dre was normal. So my question is this the same symptoms as prostatitis or is this an STD? I have been really worried about it my symptoms come and go and seems like when I worry about it symptoms get worse. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Bactrim!  Yes!  That's what he sould have had you on.  It's a sulfur drug and sulfur is the cure for prostatitis.  Old doctors know this, but the younger guys all think cipro can do anything....sorry you were his guinea pig.  But this should have you in ship shape.
