BM after TURP Surgery

I am 71. Eight weeks back I had TURP and bilateral Orchidectomy following detectiono malignancy in Prostate Biopsy. Pre operative PSA was 12.1. I had BPH for nearlyb 12 years earlier. 3 weeks after surgery I started having constant feelings of BM particularly after urination. The sdensation is quite strong at times. Painful nurination continues, but pain is coming down ever so slowly. But the feeling of blocked end of Bowel is now more irritating. Does anybody have a similar experience.

I add to my post of 11th Nov. Thanks for the advice, Dr. I wish to share my experience with you.  The BM problem slowly diminished and is now practically gone. Mild to severe burning and pain in the penis still occurs most of the time urinating, but the "after pain" lasts for much shorter now than before, typically 2 to 5 mins..It is ten week now after TURP. I did take your advice earlier and went to see a Gastro friend, but he was away in Europe, and I decided to wait for him to come back. Now I don't think it is necassry to call on Dr. Shiv with this problem. Any way thanks a lot Doctor.

I did not have any treatment other than the Surgery. Thanks for the advice. I shall consult a Gastroenteorlogist, and revert.
Thanks again

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello Sir, welcome to medhelp forum. I understand what you are going through. TURP with bilateral orchidectomy can be complicated with impotence, leakage of urine from bladder or stools from rectum. Did you receive radiation therapy as part of therapy? This could possibly cause stricture formation and hence the sensation of BM. Since you are having sensation of bowel motion, it would be prudent to consult a gastroenterologist to evaluate these symptoms. A sigmoidoscopy/colonoscopy could provide some valuable information about large intestine and any stricture or cause for bowel obstruction.
You are welcome with any further queries.
Wish you all the very best.
