bleeding from penis and rectum 13 months after imrt

I know that some bleeding from the rectum happens because of radiation proctitis, but is there damage to the urinary tract as well that would cause bleeding (light) from ones penis approximatley 13 months after imrt and hormone treatment?

Because of their close proximity the bladder and rectum can recieve radaition as well.
Symptoms can present themselves a year or more after treatment.
If a cystoscopy has not been done it might be good to get a look at the bladder lining. A new primary cancer of the bladder is rare but not impossible.
My husband has PCa and we get a lot of support from the Prostate Pointers online support groups. There is one called EBRT specifically for radiation therapt patients.

Hi Rich

My husband is has been experiencing the same problem for the past year (he was diagnosed with PC Jan 06) went thru the radiation therapy treatment, and now on top of a huge drop in our sexual activity,he has has bleeding from his penis.

He saw a Urologist a few weeks ago, went thru a series of test, and so far they can't find anything significantly wrong.  Its very frustrating for him, and we are now thinking about seeking help from a holistic doctor, not sure yet.
