Hospitals and doctors sign a contract with specific drug companies to only sell their products, so chances are your doc has a deal with the maker of Lupron. However, they must give you whatever drug you request. So, I'd see if anyone else comes forward with info on the two, I've read a lot of guys and I know two neighbors who are on it and complaining like crazy....hey, go to yananow.net and read what they say. It's a good site--guys all tell their stories/experiences with all the PCa treatments, they can say anything, so you get fact.....some cancer forums are moderated by surgeons and radiologists and they erase and ban you for saying something they don't agree with or want the public to know!
yananow=you are not alone-now
Yes but they did not mention Zoladex. I have a bone scan coming up, and another test to check if cancer cells have spread to other organs.
Has anyone suggested hormone treatment for you? I hear it works, I'd chose Zoladex as I've heard there aren't side effects like there are with Lupron
