psa numbers

I went to the urologist and had a psa free and total.  My PSA went down from 5.1 to 4.0 and my free PSA was 17.8%. My PSA numbers go up and down a lot.  Should I be thinking about a biopsy or wait awhile and be retested?

26% of men with your numbers have cancer.

The decrease in psa means little, most of us would say ours went down and then up, over and over again.

You really aren't rolling the dice by waiting - as they say that 4 out of 5 men got treated too soon, prostate cancer is the slowest growing cancer, men get treated too soon and with radical treatments risking incontinence and ED.

I was treated with HIFU, the lowest chance of any side effects (I had no side effects), my doctor told me that I had 15 years before I would have needed to be treated, but it's normal to have an urgency feeling.
