Headache after orgasm

Ok, so far I didn't get any reply's on this in the Womens Forum. So since I get reply's here, I'll try here ; )

Last night my boyfriend fingered me [sorry TMI] and I had a really intense orgasm where I actually had to catch my breath for about 10 mins. After that, he continued to finger me and I had another orgasm within like 5 mins. When he was done I got this horrible headache and actually felt a little light headed. Is that normal? That never happened to me before. He was going to continue and try to give me another orgasm but I couldn't go any longer, it was too intense.

Any advice??

Thanks

~niki~

Yeah, I'm for real. I was just asking if it was normal to feel like that after it, because I felt really light headed. I was just asking....don't reply then if you have nothing to say that would help.

Are you for real? I got a bad vibe from your first thread. This one isn't inspiring my confidence either.

That happens to me sometimes, and they say its supposed to relax you enough to make you fall asleep, but that is not always the case with me sometimes after an orgasm i stay wide awake for a while.  From what i understand your blood pressure rises and that is why your heart beats faster when you are going thorough the orgasm and your nipples harden and muscles contract in the vagina. It just sounded like yours was very intense, lucky you. So i think you'll be fine. Enjoy! LOL

My first boyfriend had that each time and was almost afraid to come. So it does exist but sorry, I do not know why. I could imagine it has something to do with blood pressure. Or maybe you`re holding your breath. Try to google 'headache after orgasm'.

Thanks for your replies. I'm glad most of don't think this post was a joke. Last night I had the same problem and like what Trialanderror just posted that YES I am for some odd reason all of suddenly holding my breath when I am about to reach orgasm. I do not know why all of sudden I would be doing this, but thats whats happening. I realized it and so did my boyfriend, so he stopped what he was doing and noticed I started breathing again. I'll have to somehow work on that, because I don't like the way I feel after it.

Thanks again ladies =]

Don't hold your breath --- breathe during sex. I think that may solve your problem.

I know, but for some odd reason this is only now the second time this happened. I'm not sure why, it's like I can't handle it the feeling? Not saying it doesn't feel good...because it does! But, idk I'll have to work on it a bit.

Thanks =]

LMAO!  I agree.

Breathing can solve a lot of our problems. Nice response.  : )

Well DUH, it will solve my problem!!!! But the sex isnt the problem, because I don't get orgasms like that, only the other way I do. And yes I know I need to breath, BUT unknown reason I'm stopping myself from breathing. Wanna take a shot as to why I stop breathing???

Jeez, you got some good responses up above. Can't you work with what you've got here? If you can't figure it out, go see a doctor or a sex therapist.

Headaches after sex are not as uncommon as you may think.  Here are two links which I think you will find very useful and answer your questions:

"Well DUH, it will solve my problem!!!! "

Based on the information in the aforementioned articles, it is doubtful that lack of breathing is the cause of your headaches; they likely result from blood vessel dilation and/or muscle contraction rather than lack of oxygen.  Of course, if you forget to breath altogether you could solve the headache issue.................

Thanks for the info, I will take a look at those links you gave me. And I know I sounded a little rude with the "DUH" part, but some people p*ss me off around here when your just asking for some input on a subject your wondering about. And thank you for not thinking this was a joke either....

I didnt realise MH didnt allow one to post links to other websites - it looks like the links I provided have been deleted.

If you google "causes of headache after orgasm" (as trailanderror suggested) you will find some appropriate links.

This could be serious and related to brain bleeding.  Try not to hyperventillate during sex (or any activity) since that could be causing or exaccerbating all or some of the issue.

^^ I found that link above somewhat useful as well as other online medical definitions of hyperventiallation.
