an IUD?? I think that would have almost that effect. Talk to your physician.
The only way to not have a period permanently would be to have a surgery to remove your uterus..which isn't usually done electively. You would never be able to have children if you did this and it is major surgery, with risks of complications, including death.
You could look into the type of birth control pill that allows you to have only a few periods a year...this might be a workable alternative.
