Valentines Day

It's coming!  Do you celebrate or do you consider it a 'hallmark' holiday (the kind the card manufacturers kind of perpetuate)?

Every day is Valentines day in our house. ;) My husband making me dinner, giving me a message happens a lot more often than a few days a year on "holiday"  lol

It is sweet when i receive a card and flowers on holidays, but it is in no way necessary for me to know that i am loved. I sure don't need a card made by someone else to tell me so.

I see it as a great opportunity for some businesses to make extra money - flowers are more expensive, and so are most Valentine's day dinners.  Nothing wrong with that, but they're not getting a bonus from our family. :)
Plus, I think the pressure of coming up with something special would really burden my husband, and it's just not worth it.  Last year, we did do a special Valentine's dinner, but it was a good deal, and it was at one of our favorite restaurants.  Usually, we celebrate by buying a nice steak and grilling it at home.
