I agree with both Mami and Vance. 3'x a week is good, but let's be realistic, as mami stated there are day's when you just don't feel like it and we also have busy schedules, such as work, kids, house, etc and you are just tired. When I was in my 20's I could would of love to have sex for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you can have an active sex life, that's great!! You do start lowing down when you hit your 50's but that doesn't apply to every 50 yr. There is no rule that  people of all ages stop having intimacy, but I find sex to be so relaxing, re-energizing, so everyone...go for it!

No way no how. Wife and I normally have sex 2-4 times a week, but for the past week we have had sex at least once a day if not 2x's a day. I love it.

My boyfriend and myself are in our mid 50s and, while my libido has increased due
to hormonal changes; his libido has slightly diminished due to the aging process. So, we've worked out a daily sexual routine that keeps us both happy. But, I never get tired of sex; and have never felt that I've had too much.

There are days that I just don't feel up to it but I'm pretty content with it.  I try to get some at least 3 times a week.  More than that and I get sick of it, less than that I feel disconnected from my fiance.
